Liza's long and rich history with Camp Hatikvah began as a Kochot camper in 1981 and she went on to be a L.I.T. and a favourite staff member for numerous years.

In 1989 Liza served as Assistant Director before moving on to a career in education and communal service. In 2008, she re-joined her Hatikvah family as Camp Director. 

​

Liza loves camp and she cares deeply about each and every one of our campers. She is personally invested in ensuring that every child has the opportunity to grow and flourish while under her impressive and loving care. She is the heart and soul of our organization and we are truly privileged to have her at the helm of our camp.

Associate Director

Eden’s love for camp began in 2003 when, on a whim, she decided to go with some friends to a camp in British Columbia after never attending sleepover camp as a child. She immediately fell in love with Hatikvah. In her third year, she became Hatikvah Unit Head and stayed in that position for 5 summers. After that, she continued on her head staff journey, becoming Head Counsellor and then Associate Director.

A trained teacher, Eden has a passion for enriching the lives of children. She is loving, caring and as a heart of absolute gold. We are incredibly lucky to have her as our Associate Director as she is so dedicated to ensuring the success of both our program and all of the campers under our care.

Assistant Director- Counselor Development

During the school year, Samantha is a dedicated educator at Hebrew Foundation School in Montreal.Holding a Bachelor of Education, a Masters of Education in Educational Psychology and currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education, Samantha brings a wealth of education and experience to our team. 

​

Samantha’s role at camp centres entirely on guiding, mentoring, and supporting our counsellor team, and we could not be more grateful for the care and dedication she brings to this work. From offering thoughtful advice in challenging moments to celebrating their successes and growth, Samantha is always there to ensure our counsellors feel supported, encouraged, and confident in their roles.

Wellness Coordinator

Hailey is from Toronto and has over 12 years of experience at sleepover camp as a camper, staff member, and unit head, working with campers of all ages. Camp has played a huge role in shaping who she is today, helping guide her through both some of her best and toughest moments and allowing her to build friendships that will last a lifetime.

Outside of camp, Hailey is completing her Masters in Counselling Psychology and works as an intake coordinator at a psychology clinic. As wellness coordinator, she is excited to support campers and staff with their wellbeing and to help ensure camp remains a safe, caring, and supportive environment for everyone.
